While new security procedures guard our airports from illegal entry, thousands of aliens stroll across the Mexican border every day.  It's no secret that groups of illegal Arab immigrants, mostly Muslims, have been apprehended inside our Arizona border!  Shamil Besayev, who is a Chechin terrorist and the person responsible for the Beslan massacre, is a Muslim.  This monster is also credited with other terrorist acts in Russia.

What will defenseless principals, teachers and staff suppose to do if Arab terrorists launch a schoolyard attack in the United States?  Shoot them with spitballs?  The only way to stop them is to kill them. Either kill, or be killed.  It's a simple as that. As we observed in Russia, negotiations do not work with jihadists like Shamil Besayev.  From the moment hostages were taken, the terrorists let it be known that they were there to kill, not to talk.

Recently a friend complained that airport security had searched her purse and her carry on bag was x-rayed twice.  "I do not fit the terrorist profile," she grumbled.  "So why me?"  I gave her a one-word answer: "9/11."   Personally, I don't mind being asked to remove my shoes, my jewelry, belt, whatever…  At least I know something is being done in our airports to protect the public.

Our borders are a different story.  This year 3 million illegals will make it across the 375-mile border between Arizona and Mexico and enter the U.S.  They will not have to produce a photo ID to establish who they are.  If they remove their shoes, it won't be for security purposes; it will be to pour out American soil.

To hide their true identities, illegal-aliens will obtain fake identification papers, including social security cards.  Once they are deemed "legal" they will apply for a driver's license!

What is being done about this?  Not much.  Most Americans want to crack down on illegal immigration, but the government doesn't seem to want to fix the problem.  According to a report in the September 12, 2004 edition of Time Magazine, "Bush has reaffirmed his pledge for an immigration policy that would provide worker's permits for aliens who find jobs, and John Kerry has promised to propose legislation that would lead to permanent residence for many illegal-alien workers.  Neither candidate has called for imposing serious fines on the people who encourage illegal immigration: corporate employers."  Many small business owners encourage illegal immigration too!

Since the government is doing virtually nothing about our borders, it's up to the American people to do something about it.  Contact your Congressional representatives and demand they act decisively to improve America's homeland security. Congress must pass legislation that will enable schools to become armed. Our representatives in congress need to hear from us before it's too late!
